What if I told you the most powerful medicine is not in a bottle? It is in your rhythm. The rhythm that controls everything: Your Circadian Rhythm, your internal clock, designed to sync your body with the rising and setting of the sun. This is your God-given biological physiology that influences energy and metabolism. It affects everything-from how well you sleep, to how well you burn fat, to how well all other hormones perform, even the mindset you wake up with. If the circadian rhythm is out of sync, cortisol is too high or too low, inflammation ensues, all sex and other hormones are affected.
But WHY? The vast network of chemicals in the brain, neurotransmitters like dopamine, epinephrine, serotonin, peptides, enzymes, are optimized when the circadian rhythm is optimized. These give us motivation to go out there and conquer our day, to pursue our goals. These are also our happy hormones. Sex hormones such as testosterone, estrogen, progesterone are optimized when this circadian rhythm is optimized. Too much stress, unbalanced diurnal cortisol curve, there is decreased testosterone and progesterone.
Modern life pushes this rhythm out of sync. Chronic stress, stressful conversations late afternoon or night, artificial light and/or screen exposure at night , poor sleep habits, and irregular routines all disrupt this delicate system. When the circadian rhythm breaks down, cortisol—the primary stress hormone—goes into overdrive. This sets off a chain reaction throughout the entire body. Stress directly causes inflammation. Stress can directly cause breast cancer.
